Microsoft drastically cuts Claude budget – Meta follows suit

According to a report by The Information, Microsoft is cutting more than a third of its internal budget for the AI assistant Claude. The monthly spending limit per employee in the affected division falls from $100,000 to around $10,000. At partner Meta, the number of Claude Code users has dropped from around 60,000 to about 30,000 within a year.
