How to read the map
- Color: a post's section – use the filter panel in the top right to highlight sections, show or hide them, or search titles.
- Large tan dots: dossiers, our running story threads. Their posts attach directly to them.
- Light dots: glossary terms. They connect to the posts they play a role in.
- Lines: content similarity, computed from the full text. The more connections a post has, the bigger its dot.
How to navigate
- Pan: drag with your finger or mouse.
- Zoom: pinch with two fingers or scroll – as you zoom in, titles appear under the dots.
- Open: tap a dot – a card shows title, section, date and the link to the post; its neighbours light up.
How the graph is built
The graph is fully precomputed on our server: every post is translated into a numeric pattern (a so-called embedding), similar posts move close together, and the map layout is computed there as well – your device only has to display it. That is why the view stays smooth even on a phone. With every new post the graph rebuilds automatically.
The data comes from our own endpoint api.beckmann.ai – no input from you and no personal data involved (privacy).
