How we work

Beckmann is a specialist magazine for artificial intelligence. This page explains how articles are produced, which sources we use and how we handle mistakes.

Who we write for

Beckmann writes for people who want to use AI at work – not just for specialists. That is why the same rule applies across all sections: clear language without unnecessary jargon, technical terms briefly explained on first mention, and every story answers what it means for your working day. Readers who want to go deeper will find the technical detail in the linked primary sources.

How articles are produced

All articles are developed, written and curated by Brian Beckmann. Editorial responsibility lies with Brian Beckmann (matching the § 18 (2) MStV notice in the imprint).

AI tools assist with research, drafts and translations – the same toolbox this magazine reports on. Every article is reviewed by a human before publication: facts are checked against the primary sources, and the analysis draws on hands-on experience running AI systems in production. Where an article relies on a single source that could not be independently verified, the “Basis” line in the author box says so.

Sourcing and linking policy

Every article lists its primary sources at the end and links them directly – papers, court decisions, company announcements or original reporting. We link to the original source rather than third-party summaries, and we label preprints without peer review as such.

Corrections

We correct mistakes in the article itself; substantial updates are traceable via the “Updated on” line at the top of the article. Please report errors through the contact page – we review reports promptly.

Independence and funding

Beckmann is independent: no ads, no affiliate marketing and no sponsored posts. Audience measurement is cookieless and collects no personal data. The magazine is privately run and funded by Brian Beckmann.
