Adobe Acrobat automatically redesigns documents since September 9, 2026: The new Stylize feature transforms invoices, resumes, and reports into a finished template without altering the text. Additionally, Acrobat now reads PDFs as a personal podcast. Both features are included in the existing subscription Acrobat AI Assistant Plus for €5.99 per month.
Acrobat now takes over document design
As Adobe reports, the new Stylize feature builds on thousands of ready-made templates from Adobe Express. When a simple Word or PDF document is opened in Acrobat, a suitable template is selected – for invoices, resumes, reports, or quotes, for example. Acrobat then automatically takes the existing text and arranges it into the new layout without changing the wording.
At the same time, Acrobat now also reads documents aloud: From a PDF or a web link, a short summary or a longer conversation in podcast style can be created upon request, with tone and expertise level adjustable. For dense reports, there are also interactive visualizations and ready-made slide overviews that display the key figures at a glance. All three tools run through the same AI assistant, which has been working in German in Acrobat since 2024. Adobe bundles them under the name “Productivity Agent” and promises that recurring tasks such as quotes, minutes, or travel expense reports can be brought into a uniform, company-ready appearance faster than previously done manually.
Everyday life: From a loose invoice to a finished layout
An example from office life: A clerk currently types an invoice into a simple Word template and manually copies the company logo and footer each time. With Stylize, she instead uploads the draft into Acrobat, selects a suitable invoice template from the Adobe Express library, and the program automatically transfers amounts, items, and customer data into the new layout. In just a few minutes, a uniformly designed PDF is created that can be sent directly.
Here’s how to start the function:
- Open the document – invoice, resume, or report – in Acrobat, on the web, on the desktop, or in the app.
- Select the option “Stylize” or “Design with Adobe Express” in the menu.
- Choose a suitable template from the library.
- Let Acrobat automatically transfer the text into the new layout.
- Check the result and download or share it directly.
For reports that need to be quickly captured before a meeting, the podcast function is ideal: those on the go can have a twenty-page analysis read to them as a short conversation instead of reading it on the screen. A similar function already exists for summarizing PDF reports and contracts with Claude, only as audio instead of text.
The new features cost from €5.99 per month
Stylize as well as the reading and visualization functions are available in the existing subscriptions Acrobat AI Assistant Plus (€5.99 per month as an add-on to the Reader or Acrobat) and in Acrobat Studio (€29.99 per month for individuals) – both plans are already bookable in Germany. Corporate customers receive an additional searchable knowledge base called Knowledge Base through Acrobat Studio for Business, which pulls answers from SharePoint and Google Drive documents, as well as the Analyzer, which automatically evaluates large amounts of similar documents such as contracts or invoices. Adobe has not yet announced a price for the corporate version.
The new features are accessible via the Acrobat website, the desktop application for Windows and Mac, and the mobile app. An existing Adobe account is sufficient to get started; no additional installation is required for the web version.
It remains unclear whether the podcast voice also reads in German or initially only in English – Adobe has not provided any details on this, while the text-based AI assistant in Acrobat has already been proficient in German since 2024. According to Adobe, those uploading customer or contract data can rest assured: customer documents do not flow into the training of their own AI models, according to company statements – however, it is still advisable to review the internal data protection policy regarding the handling of sensitive files before uploading larger amounts of documents.
