- 26 August 2026. According to Reuters, Meta canceled the second round of layoffs planned for November after employee protests and disappointing AI agents.
- 28 August 2026. Bill Gates on AI jobs: no plan, and a 19% entry-level gap. Bill Gates calls for a robot tax and human-only jobs in a 6,000-word essay. The Stanford data behind his entry-level claim says something more precise.
- 19 September 2026. Consumer advice center warns of deceptively real AI job ads. Three consumer advice centers are sounding the alarm: AI is making fake job offers more professional and harder to recognize.
