Apple Intelligence in the EU

From the July block to the partial September 2026 launch with dictation and writing tools: Apple Intelligence in the EU, tracked over time.

Apple Intelligence was initially withheld from EU users entirely: in July 2026, the launch of central features stalled over a dispute about Digital Markets Act requirements. With iOS 27, Apple Intelligence then launched in Germany on September 14, 2026 after all – but only partially.

Writing tools, the improved dictation feature and other everyday functions have been usable since then. The new AI voice assistant Siri AI, however, remains blocked on iPhone and iPad in the EU, and Apple has not named a launch date so far.
