Anthropic released the Claude Marketplace on September 23, 2026, a central platform for connectors, partner software, and consulting services related to the AI assistant Claude. At launch, the directory lists more than 2,000 offerings, including integrations with Google, Microsoft, Notion, and Salesforce. Companies can pay for selected partner products directly with already committed Anthropic budget.
Marketplace consolidates connectors, software, and consultants
The marketplace divides its offerings into three areas. Connectors and plugins technically connect Claude with existing software – more than 2,000 are already available according to Anthropic, such as for Google Drive, Gmail, Microsoft 365, Notion, Slack, and Salesforce. The second category consolidates standalone, Claude-supported products from partners like Cursor, CrowdStrike, Harvey, Legora, Lovable, and Snowflake, which companies can purchase individually in addition to their Claude access.
Additionally, the partner network provides consulting services: Accenture and Deloitte serve as premier partners, while Caylent and Slalom are preferred partners for the implementation of Claude in companies. How quickly individual connectors are used in practice depends on the respective provider.
An example is the online retailer Amazon, which linked its seller tool with Claude as early as September, initially only in the USA. Salesforce also integrates its own sales skills into Claude through the Claudeforce partnership. Such existing integrations are expected to become discoverable through the marketplace in the future, even though Anthropic has not published a complete list.
Companies pay with already committed Anthropic budget
The core promise of the marketplace lies in the billing model: corporate customers with existing contractual commitments to Anthropic can use part of this credit for marketplace purchases, instead of going through a separate purchasing process with each partner. The billing is done through a consolidated invoice – a model that is oriented towards established marketplaces of large cloud providers like Amazon Web Services and aims to simplify purchasing for IT departments. Anthropic does not specify concrete prices for individual offerings on the overview page; they depend on the terms of the respective partner.
For developers, the marketplace also opens an official sales channel. Those who want to build their own connector or plugin can use the open standards Model Context Protocol and Agent Skills and can then submit their offering for inclusion. Providers of larger software or consulting services, on the other hand, apply for membership in the Claude Partner Network, which already includes financial service providers like Vanguard Advisor Tools and BlackRock Advisor Center, as well as the legal service Paxton Legal Research.
Launch marks response to Microsoft’s Agent Store
The timing falls into a phase where major AI providers are increasingly competing for the distribution of enterprise software. Microsoft operates a comparable platform for add-ons with the Agent Store in Microsoft 365 Copilot, targeting the same audience. According to an analysis by Runtimewire, the number of listed offerings is less decisive for success than the question of how easily companies can move from discovering a connector to its actual use.
Control over security and data protection for listed products remains the responsibility of the purchasing companies themselves, as the analysis emphasizes. Inclusion in the partner network or the connector catalog does not replace an independent review by the IT department. Initial expansions, such as with the security provider CrowdStrike and the asset manager Vanguard, also indicate that Anthropic is specifically targeting regulated industries like financial services and legal consulting – fields where proof obligations and liability issues have so far hindered the use of AI tools. Anthropic has not yet quantified how many of the more than 2,000 listed connectors are actually tailored to such regulated industries.
It will be crucial whether companies actually reallocate their already committed Anthropic budgets for new purchases in the marketplace or continue to buy directly from individual providers. It also remains open how exactly Anthropic enforces security requirements for listed products beyond mere inclusion in the partner network – the company has not commented on this so far. The next test will likely emerge as soon as initial customer numbers for the new sales channel are available.
