Google Meet has been gradually expanding its AI note-taking feature "Take notes for me" throughout 2026: from the one-page "Quick notes" summary to automatic slide screenshots to routines that now draft a follow-up email or send tasks to Google Tasks on their own after a meeting.
All of these stages share the same access requirement: they only work with a paid Google Workspace account or a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, while free Google accounts are left out.
